We stop at the Waitsburg city park for a bathroom break. Every year the folks marvel at the vault style doors.

The world's smallest Lewis and Clark Interpretive Sign. about 4 miles west of Waitsburg, WA

at the confluence of the Snake and Columbia Rivers. campsit for Oct. 16-18, 1805

The actual confluence is hidden by a grove of trees. This is as close as we can get.

This is the campsite of October 25 -28, 1805. The description in the journals, confirmed by old survey plats, leaves no doubt that we are In Their Footsteps.

Two different designs of the 15 star - 15 stripe flag. Until 1912 there was no absolute official arrangement of the stars. The 1794 order simply called for 15 stripes and 15 stars in a blue field.
